The Aussie electro-rock trio have gone through some changes: vocalist Richard Pike is now allowed to sing words, groaning “There is a lot of things that I would like to say now” over the migraine bass on ‘Cold Romance’. He doesn’t break his promise for a further ten tracks, backed by snares, Bontempi organs, Jan Hammer synths and some funky fuzz guitar on the title track. Depeche Mode engineer Ben Hillier keeps a pop thread running through it all.
