The producer previously known as Subeena reveals her latest project on Semtek’s Don’t Be Afraid imprint. Replacing her sparse dubstep rhythms with thunderous club-focused techno, she undergoes a severe stylistic makeover, and we think she’s all the better for it. From opening track ‘You Can Try’ to the acid killer ‘Azimuth’, and italo pop number ‘Imperium’, featuring her own vocals, Alis is on fine form – even attracting the venerable remixing skills of D’Marc Cantu who puts his seal of approval on the title track.
