Before we go on, let’s get one thing straight: stealing sheep as a practice - bad; Stealing Sheep as a band - good. This trio hail from Liverpool, and there's certainly some of that same jangle we hear in The Coral and The La’s to Stealing Sheep’s debut LP Into The Diamond Sun. Mind you, the band don't simply indulge in Merseybeat revivalism here - the homespun, folkish charm of tracks like ‘Genevieve’ pays homage to Cate Le Bon and Half Man Half Biscuit.
