Deep, driving club tracks from Elektro Guzzi, the Viennese group, who in the same vein as Brandt Bauer Frick, make the kind of sounds that should in more customary turns come from the inner-workings of a machine. ‘Allegro EP’, their first for Pomelo, impresses with the muscular dub techno of ‘Fat Pony’, the shimmering guitars of ‘Asteroid’ and the trippy, tribal manipulations of ‘Jangu’.
