‘Musik’ is the second studio album to appear from Richie Hawtin’s Plastikman project. The album stands as a sequel to the previous album, ‘Sheet One’, as it does as a re-write, taking the harsh 909 direction of previous material and injecting it with weaving 303 acid lines and astute dance floor explorations from ultra-dark minimal atmospherics to anthemic acid bangers. As the album progresses Hawtin becomes more experimental, constructing pure and unadulterated multi-layered 909 arrangements.
