It’s been a long time coming but Villalobos finally presents his first full-length piece of material since 2004’s ‘The Au Harem D’Archimede’ (although there has been a wealth of singles, EPs and remixes in between). Split across five separate 12”s, ‘Dependent And Happy’ shifts the distinct moods into distinct sections, Part One finding Villalobos in that playful mood we know him so well for – trippy, floating melodic motifs that swing with a supple Latino groove.
