Gary War reveals a new Editions Mego album after a two-year stop-gap. With ‘Jared’s Lot’ War charms us with eight tracks of dynamic synth-pop, created with an anthemic sort of purpose. His ambition is clear, coursing through with punchy melodies, bold off-kilter synthetic touches and mangled vocals breaking through the chaos. The result is a uniquely alien production style that is sure worth a listen.
