Manchester lad, Claro Intelecto, has been a name on the circuit for some time now, releasing a whole host of stellar albums and EPs. However, it’s with his move to Delsin that the main event in his career finally arrives. ‘Reform Club’ shows just how far he has come, a confident hand that rewrites the most beautiful of deep house motifs. The laboured throbbing and pressurised atmosphere come reminiscent of the much of the recent material from Intelecto’s Modern Love label-mate, Andy Stott. Lovelorn and languid, his brilliance is most apparent on stand-out track, ‘Second Blood’.
