Ryan Elliot throws down his first Spectral Sound production after lending his curatorial skills to several of their mixtapes over the years. 'Kicking Up' sees deep pummeling bass and skittering snares moving forward, stark and alone apart from brief and abstract factoids of sonic flourish. STABLO's remix keeps the snares intact but eliminates the technoid prowess of the original for a more restrained and delicately whirring house joint.
