Dublin-based Cignol has been on a prolific streak since 2019, lighting up a number of labels with his interstellar acid EP drops and a reissue of his 2010 debut album Switching For A Living. His first new offering of 2022 comes through with Misaligned Logic, a handful of icy acid and electro tracks that start off laidback and later spiral into far out club excursions. ‘Managed Devices’ opens with tight rhythms and curious, explorative progressions, meanwhile ‘Telepathic Unity’ is a moodier techno cut providing undulating pads and synths flying like charged particles.
