Originally released as a cassette at the end of 2020 as an accompaniment to Laila Sakini’s Vivienne, itself an album of the year contender, Into The Traffic, Under The Moonlight lands on vinyl for the first time owing to popular demand. It’s essentially the soundtrack to a short story told in intensely cinematic pieces, told mostly using only piano, samples, cello, bass clarinet, flute and handclaps and the sparingly used voice of Laila. The range of vignettes conjured up fall somewhere between Yann Tiersen and The Spirit of Eden-era Talk Talk, with untold layers of found sound and incidentals.
