Angel In Disguise is the second LP from Leifur James to emerge via Night Time Stories, the offshoot of LateNightTales that focuses on original composition. It’s no surprise that the label decided to have James back - his low-lit brand of electronic music fits in perfectly with the dusky vibe of the LateNightTales brand. Instrumentals like ‘Ritual’ and ‘Wise Old Man’ lean to Darkstar and early Nicolas Jaar while there’s some of Jeff Mills’ widescreen techno style to Angel In Disguise’s vocal-led title-track.
