Considering that Made Of Rain is the first LP for 29 years from beloved post-punk band The Psychedelic Furs, many fans will simply be happy to hear the group making music again. However, Made Of Rain is far from a gratuitous comeback - this is a muscular, fiery and stirring album that brims with the same energy as their early work. The sounds of leftfield luminaries like New Order, The Cure and Suede can all be discerned in the churn of this record, but ultimately what comes through most is the sense of a band re-energised.
