Shabazz Palaces refocus on The Don Of Diamond Dreams. The two Quazarz LPs that the group released back in 2017 were both ponderous astral travellings in the George Clinton mould, and there is still plenty of that stargazing pontificating to be found on The Don Of Diamond Dreams. However, this aesthetic is fused with both the wonky funk-hop sound that characterised early Shabazz Palaces albums like Lese Majesty and a more rigorous engagement with current rap trends.
