The donniest dons in hip-hop are here to blow your mind once more. With trippy releases like Danny Brown’s Atrocity Exhibition and Clipping’s Splendor & Misery (the latter of which also dropped on Sub Pop) still fresh in the mind, the time feels right for the crown princes of modern psych-rap to re-enter the fray. Released concurrently with their other Quazarz album, … vs The Jealous Machines tells the tale of this intergalactic Quazarz dude and his attempts to figure out what the eff is going on on our little rock by the sun. As with every other SP release, the music is so sick and the vibe so chill that it stands with Atliens, Purple Rain, Bitches Brew and other totemic odes to freakiness.
