Just as the previous releases crafted a wealth of infectious rhythms alongside local musicians, Trips #3: India sees the duo spin a host of new house-inflected beats from sitars, tablas, Indian cellos and harmoniums. ‘Pad Yoga Raga’ sets the mood with a meditative flute invocation — which bears more than a passing resemblance to an early Kraftwerk song — while ‘Mumbai Syndrom’ sets the tone at an electro-charged bhangra dance music style.
