The record brought together tracks from Rhythim Is Rhythim’s previous EPs, meaning that fans could get their hands on classic house and techno tracks like ‘The Dance’ and ‘Strings Of Life’ in one place. These remain crucial club cuts to this day, their balance of house euphoria and techno steel drawing up blueprints for countless subsequent artists to follow. This latest edition of Innovator - Soundtrack For The Tenth Planet features remastered audio, but the most exciting new feature is the inclusion of ‘Hand Over Hand’, a jam that dates from the same period as the other tracks here but didn’t make the original Innovator tracklisting.
