Whitehouse's first album gets a re-release for those who don't want to fork out hundreds of pounds for the originals. The cover is still quite a discomforting and misanthropic statement, just a mordant housing block shot in drab black and white. The music is incredible though, sounding like vintage creepy electric psychedelia rather than the 'Power Electronics' the group intended to be. It's an analogue experience, the machines buzz and fog up the speakers, phasing and twisting whilst William Bennett screams incoherently through the haze. It's a great record too.
