Textasy gets all technoid on his EP for Natural Sciences. Off The Leash contains four pieces of mutated electro and synth-funk that operate in a similar ballpark to DMX Krew and fellow Natural Sciences signee Galaxian. The combination of a quicksand-squelchy bassline, robo-vocals and degraded-sounding drums on cuts like ‘Acid Bleach’ and ‘Bustanut’ is almost alien in quality. There’s a bit of a L.I.E.S. vibe to Off The Leash opener ‘Illusion Of The Mind’.
