Acid Arab return, three years on from their debut LP Musique De France, with their second album JDID (‘new’ in Arabic). On this record the Parisian group - expanded from a duo to a trio through the addition of Algerian keyboard player Kenzi Bourras - continue their practice of pairing Western club sounds with influences from the Middle East and north Africa. Across the record Acid Arab lock into acid house or ethno-dub grooves which are then used as a backbone from which to allow the talents of one of JDID’s many guests to shine. Ammar 808, Les Filles d'Illighadad, Cem Yildiz and Radia Menel are among those who contribute to JDID.
