Roger Robinson is rarely spotted outside of the confines of King Midas Sound, so it’s something of a coup for No Corner to have locked down the dub poet for a solo release. And what a solo release - ‘Stay’ is a gorgeous, wistful thing, a synthetic lullaby that has shades of Julee Cruise and the most sincere end of Dean Blunt’s output to it. Young Echo’s Ossia washes the track out even more on his spectral ‘Version’. A unique, and uniquely beautiful, record.
