L.I.E.S. return with another set of primo scuzz-beats. The label’s latest drop comes courtesy of AN-I (Doug Lee) and Unhuman. Their self-titled debut drop contains four nasty club tracks that sit at the intersection of techno, industrial music, minimal synth and electronic post-punk. Cuts like ‘Hate Thy Neighbor’ are given an extra jolt by Lee’s vocals, a melange of yelps and screams and yips. If you’ve been digging recent L.I.E.S. releases from the likes of Cardinal & Nun and Daniel Holt then the AN-I/Unhuman collaboration should push your buttons as well.
