Originally released in 2001, ‘Yesterday Was Dramatic – Today is OK’ is the debut album from the experimental Icelandic group, Mum, and thanks to the good people at Morr Music, it rises from the ashes for a timely reissue. In comparison to more recent work where folkish charm was the order of the day, ‘Yesterday Was Dramatic....’ retains more of the group’s electronic worth. Delicate electronica moves alongside minimal patchworks of brittle sound detail, analogue robot trickery and still that oddly charming familiarity that is Mum through and through.....
