There must be something in the Icelandic water that creates such fertile grounds for experimental pop acts, this time musical collective Mum carry the torch with ‘Smilewound’. Characterised by softly sang vocals with a blend of electrical and traditional instruments, their latest production evokes feelings others could only dream off. Debut single "Toothwheel" is a drifting mix of sparse, minimalist electronics, antiqued strings and airy vocals, setting the tone perfectly for an emotive release from an intriguing act.
