Auntie Flo is the latest prominent producer to contribute to Optimo’s Against Fascism Trax. On the Brasil Novas Frequencias EP, Flo provides us with soundtracks for partying away the fash - fitting given the hard-right ruler that the Brazilian people currently have in office. Both ‘Dance Of The Conch’ and ‘Call Of The Church’ combine rhythms native to the country with Flo’s typically upstart house style. Sandwiched between these cuts is ‘March Of The Berimbau’, a number that is just as propulsive as the others here despite being made on acoustic instruments.
