Goa-born, UK based producer Auntie Flo returns to Huntleys & Palmers with his second studio LP entitled Theory Of Flo, pursuing his excellent 2012 debut full-length Future Rhythm Machine. Together with regular collaborator Esa, Auntie Flo sets out to craft a more far-reaching sound, drafting in a varied array of world musicians to infuse the music with a banquet of exotic instruments and vocals, such as Ghanaian singer Anbuley, Noisettes' Shingai Shoniwa and a collection of Cuban percussionists. The result is a densely layered collection of complimentary textures, ranging from the tension laced opener ‘Su La’, to the burning deep house melancholia of ‘So In Love’ and the stunning, two-pronged polyrhythmic African trip ‘Dance Ritual’.
