Lee Gamble’s UIQ Records provide a home for the latest release from HXE (formerly HEX). INDS sees the duo creating a set of twisted club fare that combines the degraded sonics of fellow UIQ artist Zuli with Bala Club’s tortured feel. The tones here swarm like bees, crowding around the blown-out drums to create tracks that are as hostile as they are danceable. There is a hint of anarcho-dub to the bludgeoning beats of ‘Shiver’ and ‘Worm’.
