ENDFEST’s original tracks on the Mariahoeve EP are Dutch electro of the best kind, done two ways. Opener ‘Meeting Mr. Magpie’ is a moody bassline jam that has shades of I-F to it, while ‘Bus 53’ slows things down a bit while incorporating a lovely wistful synth lead line. Furthermore, the Mariahoeve EP is packed with goodies beyond these entries. We also get Mark Du Mosch’s noirish, Depeche Mode-style remix of ‘Meeting Mr. Magpie’; the ‘Rotterhague Remix’ of ‘Bus 53’ by DJ Overdose, atrack which sounds like an electro throwdown of The Whispers’ ‘And The Beat Goes On’; and two alternate ‘Minimixes’ of ENDFEST tune ‘Drank’.
