Hamburg’s Lauer drops his third LP via Running Back. Power is an apt name for this album (and not just because it rhymes with the artist’s name). Across the record we get track after track of forceful and harmonically rich tech-house. ‘Fatigue’ and the Jasnau-featuring ‘Mirrors’ take the melodious club style of producers like DJ Koze and wed it to pounding, ‘80s-indebted synth grooves. Elsewhere numbers such as ‘Realistic’ show off a Balearic influence.
