Paolo Di Nola delivers a selection of driving techno tunes for Bleep’s mix series under his Regina Leather alias. Bookended by a pair of weightless Alva Noto tracks - the first a spiralling synthesiser piece made alongside Ryuichi Sakamoto and Ensemble Modern _ Utp, the second an etherised ambience - the meat of the mix sees Regina Leather deploying pummelling productions that move back and forth between EBM, dub-techno and future-forward club sounds. Tunes from Jlin, Clark, Planetary Assault System and Blawan all feature, and we also get a booming beat from Regina Leather’s VOAM Records debut, the Portraits Of A Collective Hallucination EP.
