The 1995 release Redone EP from Luke Vibert under his Wagon Christ alias plucks out three cuts from his exceptional second LP Throbbing Pouch for a good going over. The first cut ‘Reedin (Redone)’ sees Vibert switch up the rhythm of the original with some loose breakbeats, juddering sub bass and vocal clips whilst once Aphex Twin is done with ‘Spotlight’ its barely recognisable due to the overwhelming barrage of scatter gun beats laid down in his typical style. Finally, Graham Sutton and Jeremy Simmonds team up for the ‘Oven Baked’ remix of ‘Pull My Strings’, injecting some liquid drum & bass drum licks to the melancholic drawn strings of the original.
