O’Flynn breaks away from his heavily percussion based jams for Blip Discs with this impressive Ninja Tune debut. After impressing the likes of Ben UFO, Bonobo and James Blake the young London based producer turns his hand to something a little more abstract this time, still firmly rooted in a contemporary UK bass sound but with a fresh twist that cements Pluto’s Beating Heart as something that avoids easy categorisation. ‘Eleven’ just builds and builds, synths sounding as if they’re about to break out of the speakers and grab you by the neck (in a good way, obviously).
