Anyone checking out recent Discrepant releases on the site will know from the write ups that they are one of our current favourites, constantly introducing us to fantastic new sounds. From the German Army/Old Komm split to the pastoral guitar work of Mike Cooper, they aren’t afraid to push boundaries with their unique output, and this new double LP from sound artist Carlos Casas fits right in. Taking inspiration from the Central Asian mysticism, Casas integrates a wide variety of field recordings into his own twisted sonic narratives, crafting long form audio works that are sure to entice.
