The New York City techno don comes through with his long-awaited first full-length album, out via Dekmantel. As one might expect from a man who has lived a previous life as a buyer for NYC’s Halcyon record shop and counts Levon Vincent among his close associates, Infrared Vision showcases Parasole’s exemplary ear for sound curation as well as an ability to fuse classy house with rugged techno. The intensity ramps up as the album progresses, with each track seemingly harder and faster than the last. The penultimate ‘Zenith’ acts as a proverbial exhalation, clearing the way for ‘So Alive’ to see the album out with frenetic glee.
