Almost two decades on from his debut album as Six Organs of Admittance, Ben Chasny sticks true to the warped folk template that has served him so well all these years. His guitar playing is second to none, a beautiful clear tone applied to both simple pick work and shining psych-tinged solos, and the way he carefully brings parts in and out on tracks like centrepiece ‘Taken By Ascent’ is masterful.
