Transmissions from a Drainpipe draws to a close a peak year for rave deconstructionist Peder Mannerfelt.
Following on from his fellow P M Produktion album Controlling Body, Peder Mannerfelt has basically owned 2016 with stunning 12" after stunning 12" inc. hot zingers for Numbers, Hinge Finger & a live transmission of the beat you can't defeat on the Berlin Atonal boutique imprint.
The four tracks here showcase the different styles Peder has turned his hand to, and conquered by all accounts: Joan @ The Rave is peak time dub techno but with kicks so submerged they are probably gonna surface at a peak time party sometime in 2017, if you are into Lee Gamble's ambient opus Girl Drop this is gonna blow your mind. Public Image is pure hydraulic dancehall madness. Request Line meanwhile blends his taste for lazer guided acid mentasm riffs, but the real showstopper here is the Ae UKG of Blog Kept A Growing, sounds like some MAX MSP nightmare with El-B behind the controls.
This guy has owned 2016 and if you are unfamiliar with his stuff, there is nothing more we can say really other than get acquainted.
