Set in modern day Ukraine and revolving around a totalitarian social justice enforcer, Gennadiy, 2015’s Almost Holy is a hard-hitting documentary that ‘challenges us to accept a flawed protagonist’. With The Haxan Cloak, Leopold Ross and his winning composer brother Atticus on soundtrack duties the films dark underpinning was always going to be accentuated by the accompanying music. Imagine Raime started working on Quarter Turns over a Living Line after being shown Dead Man’s Shoes by Shane Meadows and told they were to write the soundtrack and you’ll be on the right track to guess what sort of vibe we’re talking about here.
