Following the release of his debut EP last year, and a notable contribution to Boxed’s first label offering, Spokes returns to Coyote with some of that new new goodness. Across the four tracks, Spokes presents an evocative mature and wholly original sound. ‘Failed State’ with its pitched up vocals and effervescent melody is a real beauty. ‘Mercurial’ is a mastery in incorporating square wave grime sounds into a modern sounding palette. The title track is a spacious rhythm, with trap inspired percussion and orchestral vocal snippets.
