Full length LP from Aberdeen based producer Thomas Emslie, whose previous works include digital EP’s on local label Tuff Wax and London’s Local Action. In Tandem is expertly well rounded, yet with a distinctly unique sound at the same time, taking in obvious inspiration from early minimalism, grime productions and the sort of experimental hip-hop championed by Baths (in particular the debut album Cerulean) but still sounding completely in its own realm. A great, immersive sonic journey for long summer days.
