HARBEL HABER is a Lebanese musician, performer & composer from Beirut. He's been (and is) in groups such as Scrambled Eggs (favourite ever group name), Malayeen and Johnny Kafta Anti Vegetarian Orchestra (second favourite). Of Palm Trees and Decomposition comprises three lengthy tracks and another under five minutes, all formed entirely of guitars fed through modular synths. The results are somewhere between Christian Fennesz scorching string work and detuned modal synthesis of the Morphosis strain. There’s something deeply uncanny at play here. And we love it.
