Three tracks from Dave DK’s latest album for Kompakt get the remix treatment. First up is French minimal house producer Isolee, who in his hypnotising remix applies a light touch and subtle melodic flourishes to ‘We Mix At Six’. Ulrich Schnauss – who, incidentally, used to be flatmates with Dave DK – turns in a version of ‘Kronsee’ that’s as dreamy and euphoric as you’ve come to expect from the electronica artiste. It’s up to Brooklyn’s Portable Sunsets to deliver a somewhat more straightforward club remix, stripping down ‘Nueva Cancion’ and turning it into a sparse but pretty house rhythm.
