Batu follows up his 2013 Dnuos Ytivil debut with another two-pronged session of shrouded, bass-heavy swing in true Livity Sound fashion. With well-received outings on Hotline and Mistry, the West-Country artist continues to refine his sound, leading off first with the crisp snares, buoyant groove and phased blips of ‘Bleeper Feed’ keeping the floor moving in unison, whilst the moodier polyrhythmic mutations of ‘April These’ recall the fine, left-of-centre movements of Dave Huismans’ A Made Up Sound guise.
