Power Vacuum throw a curve ball with an EP's worth of tough hip-hop from NYC rapper Sensational and Kruton.Power Vacuum boss Milo Smee acts dons his Kruton mask for a curveball hip-hop release on his own imprint featuring the rhyming talents of NYC lyricist Sensational. Smee’s leftfield production wizardry proves the perfect base from the gritty flow of Sensational, starting with the big beat bump of ‘Power Of Thought’, followed by the quirky, frayed electronics of ‘You In The Right Spot’ and the more rugged, loop-driven ‘Turn The Page’. The ‘Original Demo’ run of ‘You In The Right Spot’ shifts gear into a well-weighted, conga-led deep house cut, with the gruff rhymes adding to the moody atmosphere, whilst the electronic eccentricities of ‘Boogie Thing’ offers an interesting compliment to the grubby NY rap style.
