Shallow Sanction follow a debut EP for Hospital Productions with a rip-roaring set of hardcore punk tracks on Helm’s label, Alter. This is either noise rock made by punks, or punk rock made by noise kids – either way, it sounds raw and primitive. ‘Vacant Rituals’ is a quick burst of combustible energy, while ‘The Sombre’ is defined by its doomed drag.
