Light In The Attic and Munster Records co-release a forgotten collaboration between Suicide’s Alan Vega, Big Star’s Alex Chilton, and singer-songwriter Ben Vaughn. In December 1994 the trio ended up improvising for two nights in a New York studio, resulting in their only album, Cubist Blues. The dark, lo-fi rockabilly never found an audience when it was first released and the group only played two shows together, one of which – taking place at the Transmusicales festival in Rennes, France in 1994 – has been captured and committed to a hard format for the first time.
