Their new Combo Skin EP brings together five artists and showcases their individual approaches to dance music – all differing in style, yet unified by their grittiness. P.O.I.’s ‘Rip & Dip’ is a relatively straight-ahead track, an airy piece of club fodder, but elsewhere there’s the sound of post-industrial decay (Rosemary Arp’s ‘Spearheading’), a chainsaw driller (Mondkopf’s ‘Need To Control’), and glitchy, metallic noise rock (The Wet Taxis’ ‘Cerebral Damage’).
