Madrid based producer Eduardo De La Calle lines up his second EP of wrought, emotive analogue techno on John Talabot’s Hivern Discs with another four slices of primed-for-Autumn electronics. De La Calle has been previously responsible for a stirring, fearless interpretation of Underground Resistance’s anthemic ‘Transition’, and here he is at it again spiriting the ghosts of the Motor City for 2015. The samples are here on ‘I Think I Love You’s scuffed vocal raptures –encased in a forever-flanging motif -, while ‘Passage 2561’ is pure Barca good-times built on the barest of elements. De Le Calle does minimalism (think Omar S, Carl Craig) very well, and with this latest is definitely one to watch. The 12" comes wrapped in a special artwork by Barcelona-based studio Affaire.
