Over the last eight years or so Romanian producer Cosmin TRG has flitted between distinguished record labels such as 50 Weapons, Hessle Audio, Running Back and Rush Hour. In 2014 he launched his own imprint, Fizic and this is the third instalment. What we can always expect from TRG is meticulous sound-design, and III is no different. This is a highest-grade production, meeting the precision-tooled style of Raster-Noton family againsta after-hours, mechanised techno fit for heads-down crew. Tips here are the thumping, post-industrial rhythms of ‘Sirena’ – like British Murder Boys doing face off with the Skull Disco Catalogue – and the aggressively funky thump of ‘Motoric’.
