House Of Doors returns for his second outing on the popular Canadian imprint Mood Hut with the highly anticipated Starcave / Burmstar EP. Kicking off, A-side jam ‘Starcave’ is an upbeat, jovial encounter, grounded by catchy slap bass that evokes feelings of Liquid Liquid’s timeless ‘Cavern’, topped with brass toots, drawn out organ keys and bitter cymbal stabs. On the flip we're offered two equally grooving mixes of ‘Burmstar’, with the ‘Running Flutee Mix’ a working assortment of sugarcoated hi-ends, sulking bass and a gracious, meandering flute line; whereas the ‘Twin Mix’ jacks just that little bit harder with its spluttering drum work and simplistic yet infectious rhythmic flute notes.
