DJ Haus reveals a truly intriguing discovery for his Unknown To The Unknown imprint: Sydney-based producer Cassius Select arrives on the UK label with an EP that defies any rules of rhythm or arrangement: vocal fragments, bloodcurdling bass and razor-sharp percussion tracks amount to a clutter of footwork, hardcore and garage, cut and sliced into tiny, shiny shards. These elements are working against each other in their heavily confused, stuttering and stumbling way - yet somehow come together beautifully - best showcased on the EP’s highlight ‘He Ain’t Worth’ it, polyrhythm beyond recognition.
